The average monthly salary in Uzbekistan reached 5.36 million sums by the end of 2024, compared to 4.56 million sums at the end of 2023. This information was reported by the Statistics Agency.

In the period from January to December 2024, the highest growth rates of the average nominal monthly salary by region were recorded in Tashkent city (121.4%), Samarkand (117.6%), Syrdarya (116.7%), Namangan (116.5%), and Fergana (115.1%) regions.

As of October 1, 2024, the minimum wage has been adjusted to 1,155.0 thousand sums.

From January to December 2024, the highest average monthly salary by type of economic activity was in banking, insurance, leasing, and credit intermediation at 15.26 million sums.

Additionally, in the information and communication sector, it reached 13.15 million sums, in transportation and storage – 8.11 million sums, and in industry – 6.44 million sums, which is significantly above the national average.

The education and healthcare sectors, as well as social services, show a low average monthly salary of 3.64 million sums and 3.41 million sums, respectively.

High average monthly salary figures in industry were observed in mining and quarrying (9.13 million sums), electricity supply, gas, steam, and air conditioning (7.47 million sums), as well as in manufacturing (6.18 million sums).

The highest average monthly salary figures by type of industrial-economic activity were reported in Navoi region (9.66 million sums), Tashkent city (7.48 million sums), Andijan (6.6 million sums), Tashkent (6.23 million sums), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (6.1 million sums).

The highest average monthly salary in the construction sector was recorded in Tashkent (8.57 million sums), Navoi (7.32 million sums), and Tashkent city (7.17 million sums).

The highest average monthly salary in the main sectors of trade was noted in wholesale and retail trade of automobiles and motorcycles and their repair (7.77 million sums), while the lowest was in retail trade excluding automobiles and motorcycles (5.67 million sums).

The highest average monthly salary in trade activities was observed in Tashkent city (7 million sums), Jizzakh (6.89 million sums), and Bukhara (5.49 million sums) regions. High growth rates were recorded in Jizzakh (245.9%), Surkhandarya (161.0%), and Fergana (159.3%) regions.

The highest average monthly salary in the “Transportation and Storage” economic activity was in warehousing and auxiliary transport activities (9,599.9 thousand sums), while the lowest was in postal and courier services (3,875.0 thousand sums).

The highest average monthly salary in the “Transportation and Storage” sector was seen in Samarkand region (9,921.4 thousand sums), Tashkent city (9,280.2 thousand sums), and Khorezm region (8,944.9 thousand sums). High growth rates were observed in Samarkand (175.1%), Jizzakh (133.0%), and Syrdarya (126.4%) regions.

The highest average monthly salary in the “Information and Communication” sector was noted in the information and communication industry – in computer programming, consulting, and other auxiliary services (18,288.6 thousand sums), while the lowest was in telecommunications (10,917.1 thousand sums).

The highest average monthly salary in the information and communication sector was observed in Tashkent city (14,857.6 thousand sums), Andijan (9,024.6 thousand sums), and Samarkand (8,944.7 thousand sums) regions. High growth rates were noted in Tashkent city (124.8%) and Andijan region (119.9%).

In banking, insurance, leasing, and credit intermediation, the highest average monthly salary was recorded in insurance, reinsurance, and pension fund activities, excluding mandatory social insurance (17,848.5 thousand sums), while the lowest was in financial services, excluding insurance and pension services (15,004.1 thousand sums).

The highest average monthly salary in the main sectors of education was in higher education (8,562.1 thousand sums), while the lowest was in preschool education (1,963.3 thousand sums).

The highest average monthly salary in the education sector was observed in Tashkent city (6,091.2 thousand sums), Namangan (3,591.6 thousand sums), and Tashkent (3,591.2 thousand sums) regions. High growth rates were noted in Tashkent city (119.5%) and Namangan region (117.3%).

The highest average monthly salary in the “Healthcare and Social Services” sector was recorded in Tashkent city (4,313.9 thousand sums), Khorezm region (3,700.8 thousand sums), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3,648.4 thousand sums).

In the regions, the highest average monthly salary in accommodation and food services was in Tashkent city (5,179.4 thousand sums), Samarkand region (5,098.2 thousand sums), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (4,416.6 thousand sums).

The highest average monthly salary in the arts, entertainment, and recreation sector was observed in Tashkent region (6,170.7 thousand sums), Tashkent city (5,202.1 thousand sums), and Kashkadarya region (4,648.2 thousand sums). High growth rates were recorded in Fergana (133.0%) and Samarkand (118.5%) regions.
