TBC Uzbekistan has announced the launch of its own processing center. This information was shared by the company's press service with Spot.
In the digital banking ecosystem, it was emphasized that the transition to in-house processing will accelerate the launch of new products and services, as well as ensure maximum efficiency in payment processing.
TBC Uzbekistan also notes an increase in competitiveness, as the bank will be able to quickly expand and diversify its product line for retail clients and small to medium-sized businesses.
The processing center will handle all payment operations for TBC, including P2P transfers, card payments, and payments using QR codes. The infrastructure will provide TBC with additional capabilities in data analytics and assist in the development of new products, including comprehensive acquiring solutions.
“We continue to invest in our infrastructure, and the launch of our own processing center is a significant step towards realizing our ambitious plans. In-house processing will enable us to accelerate and scale the launch of innovative financial products in the promising and rapidly growing market of Uzbekistan,” said TBC Uzbekistan's CEO Nika Kuridiani.
The new processing center will help the bank respond more flexibly to changes—such as quickly launching Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal services immediately after their introduction in Uzbekistan, as well as swiftly bringing other solutions to market.
In October, the Cabinet instructed the Tourism Committee, the Central Bank, and the Ministry of Digital Technologies to negotiate with international payment services Alipay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Unipay about their integration into Uzbekistan's payment systems and services.
Previously, Spot reported that the volume of payments through Payme exceeded $3 billion in the first nine months.
