According to the Central Bank, today Uzbeks can purchase gold bars weighing 5, 10, 20, and 50 grams. Sales of 100-gram gold bars will commence on January 17 at commercial banks. This initiative aims to further expand investment and savings opportunities for the population, as well as to stimulate the circulation of precious metals within the country.
The bars will be delivered in special protective packaging. This packaging will include a unique serial number and will serve as a certificate to confirm the authenticity of the product.
Prices for gold bars will be updated daily and published on the official website of the Central Bank in the national currency.
If the packaging is preserved, the bars can be taken out of the country, as well as sold to banks at the current sale price. In the event of damage to the packaging or if it does not meet technical requirements, buyers can return the bars to the bank for a technical examination, after which payment will be made.
We remind you that Shukhrat Bobokhujaev informed the correspondent of Podrobno.uz about whether ordinary Uzbeks can profit from the rising gold prices.
