To register in banking applications, users need to go through several steps: provide a phone number, enter a one-time SMS code sent to that number, and complete biometric identification.
Only after these steps can a bank card be linked to the application. To successfully link the card, it is necessary to confirm the operation with a one-time SMS code, and the phone number and card must match. Otherwise, the linking will be rejected. Additionally, new users can only use the linked card one hour after completing the registration.
The Central Bank warns that the risk of unauthorized fund withdrawals arises only if confidential information (such as login, password, or one-time SMS codes) is shared with third parties or if malicious applications are installed from unreliable sources, such as links in messengers.
Starting November 1, the Central Bank has implemented additional security measures to prevent fraud when applying for online loans.
The Central Bank strongly advises citizens to trust only verified information sources and to refrain from spreading false rumors.
