According to the Central Bank, Tashkent ranks first in inflation perceptions (15.4%), followed by Andijan (14.6%) and Surkhandarya regions (14.5%). The lowest assessments were recorded in Fergana (12.1%), Navoi (12.3%), and Jizzakh and Karakalpakstan (12.5%).
Citizens believe that the prices of meat and dairy products have risen the most (56%). Gasoline comes in second (39%), while electricity and gas prices rank third (34%).
The percentage of respondents who noted an increase in medicine prices rose to 29%, while construction materials saw a rise to 23%. Rent and dining out were also mentioned more frequently, each at 18%.
The least reported increases were for household appliances, bread, sugar, and confectionery (each at 12%).
Notably, higher income groups reported a more significant increase in prices. The average assessment among citizens earning over 15 million sums per month was 15.4%, while those with incomes between 10−15 million sums reported 15.1%, and those earning 7−10 million sums noted 14%.
Meanwhile, Uzbeks with incomes of 2−3 million sums per month reported the same figure as those earning 5−7 million sums (13.7%). The lowest assessments came from the group earning 3−4 million sums, which was 12.6%.
