UzAuto Motors has completed the contracting of a batch of Chevrolet Cobalt vehicles. This was reported by the automaker's press service.
The company has signed 55,494 contracts for the supply of cars. Of these, 27,201 were for the GX-Style AT Plus configuration, and 28,293 for the newly introduced GX-Midnight AT variant presented in October.
Individuals, after authorizing in One ID, concluded 55,322 contracts, which is 99.7% of the total. An additional 172 orders were accepted from legal entities.
In the first 30 minutes after the contracting began at 10:00, there were 6,058 orders. By the end of the first hour, the number had reached 9,611, and by noon, it had surpassed 14,000. By 17:00, just over 31,000 contracts had been processed.
According to the company, during the contracting period, the Uzavtosavdo platform recorded 22,800 cyberattacks. More than half of these occurred in the first hour after the sales launch, with no disruptions to the system reported.
Since the end of 2022, UzAuto Motors has suspended open sales of mass-market models such as Cobalt, Lacetti, Damas, and Labo. Since then, the company has repeatedly opened and closed contracting.
At the end of December 2023, the company halted sales of Cobalt, Damas, and Labo, contracting 171,000 vehicles in just three days—covering the entire production volume for 2024. At that time, the company also announced the creation of a database for contracts listed for resale.
On March 29, UzAuto Motors reoffered 18,000 Labo vehicles, which were sold out in 55 minutes. In April, the company proposed 24,000 Damas, with orders also coming in under an hour, and on May 8, 4,500 Lacetti were contracted again in just 25 minutes.
The next round of contracting took place in June, where the order processing for a batch of 25,000 Cobalt took over nine hours. On July 5, just over 14,000 sedans were contracted again.
In October, UzAuto Motors announced the launch of Chevrolet Cobalt production in the Midnight configuration. The price of the vehicle will be 155,231,000 soums, which is 7.3 million soums more than the existing options.
