Uzbekistan and Indonesia have taken a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations by signing an agreement on a visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports. This was reported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, on his Telegram channel.
The signing ceremony took place during a meeting between Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Indonesia's Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi. As noted by Bakhtiyor Saidov, the agenda for the negotiations was extensive and covered a wide range of cooperation issues. Both sides expressed their desire to give new momentum to the development of relations, making them stronger and bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together.
"Our countries are connected by a solid foundation, and we have much greater potential. Economic diplomacy remains one of our top priorities," emphasized the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan.
The signed agreement on a visa-free regime for diplomatic passports will be a crucial step towards activating dialogue between the two countries and will promote cooperation in various areas, including political, economic, and cultural.
