The ten-day joint specialized military exercises "Hanjar-2024" involving troops from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have concluded at the mountain training ground "Farish" of the Central Military District of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekistan's defense ministry.

The objective of the drills was to practically develop the cooperation of the armed forces of both countries in high-altitude conditions. The exercise program included a range of activities, including shooting ranges with various types of firearms, tactical maneuvers in urban combat scenarios, as well as methods for psychological training of soldiers and stress management in combat situations.

During the exercises, particular emphasis was placed on simulating scenarios for rapid and effective advancement into the territory of a hypothetical adversary. Soldiers from both nations collaboratively refined various tactical schemes, honing their coordination and interaction skills in conditions similar to real combat.

The final stage of the maneuvers, conducted under the close scrutiny of high-ranking officers from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Defense, the commander of the Central Military District, and a delegation from the Kazakhstan defense ministry, marked the culmination of the exercises.

As part of the final phase, an operation was carried out to neutralize a conditional enemy located within buildings. Initially, mortar crews, sniper teams, machine gun crews, and drone operators worked on designated targets. After the artillery preparation, an assault group, supported by armored vehicles and service dogs, conducted a swift and effective clearance of three buildings. According to information from the Ministry of Defense, the task assigned to the soldiers was successfully completed in a very short time.

Following the exercises, servicemen who demonstrated high performance and professionalism were awarded commemorative badges from the defense ministries of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
