Uzbekistan and the New Development Bank discussed ways to enhance their collaboration.
On November 8, 2024, Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the headquarters of the New Development Bank, where he met with its president, Dilma Rousseff.

The New Development Bank was established by the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) with the aim of financing infrastructure projects and sustainable development initiatives in BRICS nations and developing countries. Recently, new member countries joined the bank: Egypt, the UAE, Bangladesh, Uruguay, and Algeria.
It is worth noting that Uzbekistan has recently attained the status of a BRICS partner country.
