Узбекистан имеет потенциал стать ключевым транзитным узлом для экспорта товаров из Гонконга в Европу.

Uzbekistan could become a key transit hub for exporting goods from Hong Kong to Europe.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, Uzbekistan and Hong Kong have agreed to establish air connections for both cargo and passenger transportation, as reported by a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.

The corresponding agreement was signed in Kuala Lumpur, where the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan is participating in the ICAN 2024 events organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This serves as a crucial platform for discussing issues related to air transport and collaboration in the aviation sector.

A significant portion of the products manufactured in China is re-exported by Hong Kong due to tax incentives. Most of these goods, along with raw materials, are re-exported to countries in Europe, the Middle East, Turkey, and Arab nations. Uzbekistan's geographical position, in turn, facilitates transit functions for the transportation of these goods.

Hong Kong also attracts the world's major airlines with its flight geography, not only for cargo but also due to a large number of passenger routes and flight frequencies.

It is noted that, thanks to the agreement reached with the aviation authorities of Hong Kong, airlines from Uzbekistan will gain access to a new flight direction. This will positively impact the influx of tourists into Uzbekistan and create a foundation for the transit of goods from Hong Kong to Europe, Turkey, Arab nations, and other countries through the republic.

The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan emphasized that the agreements will open new opportunities for the airlines of Uzbekistan and Hong Kong to enhance trade, economic relations, transportation logistics, and tourism between the two countries.
