Узбекистан увеличивает объемы добычи газа. В 2025 году планируется геологоразведка на 15 новых участках.

Uzbekistan is increasing its gas production. In 2025, geological exploration will commence in 15 new areas.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. On December 19, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting to discuss the current situation and plans for increasing gas production. The focus was on the implementation of modern technologies, attracting investments, and enhancing the efficiency of geological exploration, as reported by a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.

The chairman of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" presented the report on the results of operations in 2024 and outlined the priorities for 2025. As part of the collaboration with foreign companies, projects have been developed to stabilize gas production volumes. Plans include drilling new wells and repairing existing operational wells using advanced technologies.

The president noted that the main challenge facing the industry remains the insufficient attention to geological exploration work. Many fields have been depleted, and the efficiency of their exploitation remains low. To address this issue, geological exploration will commence in 2025 across 15 promising areas, and the area of seismic exploration will increase to 6,500 square kilometers.

The head of state instructed to develop a geology development program involving major foreign companies and experts. Steps will also be taken to transform JSC "Uzbekneftegaz," aimed at reducing production costs and improving the international credit rating.

In the next year, international funding is planned to be attracted for geological exploration and production projects.

Special attention has been given to personnel issues. Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the need to improve the quality of training, prepare specialists, and attract qualified compatriots working abroad.

The president noted that the implementation of these measures will create a foundation for the sustainable development of the gas industry, which is crucial for the country's economy.

It should be noted that the president of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, agreed to increase the supply of Turkmen natural gas to Uzbekistan and discussed the implementation of joint gas projects in the short term.
