As of January 7, 2025, Uzbekistan has risen two places in the Global Passport Index compiled by Arton Capital. The republic now ranks 68th out of 95, showing positive dynamics compared to last year when it was in 70th position.

The Passport Strength Index assesses the number of countries that citizens of a specific nation can visit without obtaining a visa in advance or by receiving one upon arrival. This ranking serves as an indicator of the level of international mobility for citizens.

The Uzbek passport currently allows visa-free access to 32 countries worldwide. Additionally, citizens of Uzbekistan can obtain a visa on arrival in 46 nations. For the remaining 120 countries, a visa must be obtained in advance from diplomatic missions.

The Uzbek passport provides the opportunity for simplified entry (either visa-free or with a visa on arrival) to 78 countries. This indicates a gradual expansion of opportunities for international travel for citizens of Uzbekistan.

The UAE continues to lead the ranking, holding the world's "strongest" passport. In contrast, Syria ranks last, with its passport recognized as the "weakest."
