The authorities in the United Kingdom are accusing Uzstanex limited liability partnership of providing financial and economic resources, goods, or technologies that contributed to the destabilization of the situation in Ukraine.
The company is now listed on the sanctions list and is subject to restrictive measures from the United Kingdom. Previously, this same company was placed on the sanctions list by the United States.
Furthermore, last year, the UK government announced new sanctions against 46 Russian enterprises. One company from Uzbekistan, Mvizion, was included in the anti-Russian sanctions list. In the UK sanctions registry, it was identified as "a company that acted as an intermediary for the import of spare parts to Russia."
It is worth noting that at the end of October, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) under the U.S. Department of the Treasury added 275 individuals and entities to the sanctions list, among which were also two companies from Uzbekistan — Uzstanex and The Elite Investment Group.
