“Uzenergoinspektsiya” has urged businesses to conserve electricity due to a sharp drop in temperatures, according to the agency's press service.

Against the backdrop of the cold snap, “Uzenergoinspektsiya” is conducting evening raids to promote the rational use of energy resources. The “preventive measures” assist consumers in using these resources efficiently, while also preventing network overloads and ensuring a stable supply of energy resources to all consumers, the agency emphasizes.

The statement mentions that “effective and economical use of resources significantly contributes to the stability of supply.”

“Dear business entities, as the air temperature decreases, the demand for electricity increases. In such cases, we ask you to use electricity as economically as possible, and when it is not necessary, to disconnect electrical appliances from the network,” said representatives of “Uzenergoinspektsiya.”

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy reports on the elimination of faults in the power grid in the Surkhandarya and Navoi regions, as well as in the gas supply system in the Jizzakh region.

Raids for Energy Resource Conservation

At the beginning of December, raids were conducted in Tashkent against wasteful energy resource consumption among enterprises. During the inspections, facilities that unnecessarily illuminated premises or advertising structures during the daytime were identified.

Over the course of two days of inspections, 264 administrative protocols were drawn up. In cases where entrepreneurs refused to sign the documents, their facilities were threatened with disconnection from the electrical network. Violators also face fines of up to 15 BRV (5.55 million sums).

The responsible secretary of the Mirabad district prosecutor's office stated that the main goal of the raids is to “ensure stable electricity supply and prevent its irrational use.”

The founder of the Giotto network, Kemal Kaya, informed Spot about the inspection of his establishment in the Yakkasaray district, which resulted in a protocol being drawn up under Article 100 of the Administrative Responsibility Code.

Additionally, “Uzenergoinspektsiya” is conducting evening raids for electricity conservation in every region of the republic. In light of the cold weather, the agency has requested businesses to use energy “as economically as possible.”

In Uzbekistan, 30,000 cases of wasteful electricity consumption during daylight hours have been identified. Nearly 3,000 officials have had administrative protocols drawn up against them, with their cases sent to court.

Earlier, Spot reported that against the backdrop of limitations on AGNKS, the volume of gasoline sales for AI-80 has increased fourfold.
