The "Uzenergoinspektsiya" under the Cabinet is conducting evening "preventive measures" aimed at the rational use of energy resources in every region of the republic, according to the agency's press service.

The statement notes that "effective and economical use of resources significantly contributes to the stability of supply."

In "Uzenergoinspektsiya," it is emphasized that the inspections help consumers use these resources efficiently, prevent network overloads, and ensure a stable supply of energy resources to all consumers.

"Dear business entities, due to the drop in temperatures, the demand for electricity is increasing. In such cases, we ask you to use electricity as economically as possible, and in instances where it is not needed, to disconnect electrical appliances from the network," the statement says.

On December 9, the Ministry of Energy announced the introduction of temporary short-term restrictions on the operation of gas filling stations (AGNKS). Due to the cold weather, gas consumption has surged, leading to a drop in pressure in the pipelines.

Moreover, to provide motorists with additional fuel, the volumes of gasoline sold at the commodity exchange will double. The Ministry of Energy emphasized the possibility of further increasing gasoline supply volumes.

Energy Resource Conservation Inspections

Last week in Tashkent, inspections were conducted in businesses to combat the wasteful use of energy resources. During the checks, facilities were found that unnecessarily illuminated rooms or advertising structures during the daytime.

Over the course of two days of inspections, 264 administrative protocols were drawn up. In case of refusal by entrepreneurs to sign the documents, their facilities were threatened with disconnection from the electrical network. Violators also face fines of up to 15 BRV (5.55 million sums).

The responsible secretary of the Mirabad district prosecutor's office stated that the main goal of the inspections is "to ensure a stable supply of electricity and prevent its irrational use."

The founder of the Giotto chain, Kemal Kaya, told Spot about the inspection of his establishment in the Yakkasarai district, which resulted in a protocol under Article 100 of the Administrative Responsibility Code.

Earlier, Spot reported that temporary restrictions on the operation of gas filling stations are being introduced in Uzbekistan.
