Representatives of the Taliban held a meeting with the government of Uzbekistan. The Prime Minister of the Taliban government, Mullah Abdul Ghani Barodar, met with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov. The meeting took place in Tashkent.
During the negotiations, Barodar stated that Afghanistan does not pose a threat to Uzbekistan. Furthermore, the Taliban aims to strengthen relations with all Central Asian countries.
Barodar emphasized that the new Afghan government is fighting against drug cultivation within the country. Additionally, Afghanistan is working to prevent the trafficking of drugs to neighboring countries.
