В декабре Центральный банк наложил штрафы на три финансовые организации.

In December, the Central Bank imposed fines on three financial organizations.

In December 2024, the Banking Supervision Committee of the Central Bank held six meetings, during which 37 different issues were addressed, and appropriate decisions were made.

In addition, four applications for the registration of new microfinance organizations and seven requests for permits to hold shares in the charter funds of credit institutions were reviewed.

The committee also discussed the candidacies of members of supervisory boards, commercial bank management, and key personnel, which made up another seven agenda items.

During the meetings, a decision was made to exclude the pawnshops owned by LLC NUR LOMBARD from the registry due to the cessation of their activities at the initiative of the founder.

Besides registration and licensing issues, the committee focused on analyzing the financial condition of credit organizations, assessing their compliance with the Central Bank's instructions, and adhering to prudential standards. The results of inspections conducted in banks, microfinance, and payment institutions were also examined separately.

As a result of detected violations, nine banks, two pawnshops, and one microfinance organization received warnings about potential measures and sanctions.

The violations pertained to non-compliance with the Central Bank's instructions, deviations from prudential norms, and breaches of legal requirements in conducting foreign exchange and foreign trade operations.

For serious violations identified during inspections and audits, the Central Bank imposed penalties on one bank, one pawnshop, and one microfinance organization.
