Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the new Anjir business lounge was inaugurated today at Tashkent International Airport. Spanning 427 square meters across two floors, it offers comfortable accommodation for up to 116 passengers at the same time, reports a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

The lounge is located on the second floor in the "sterile" zone of the departure terminal and operates 24/7. Guests have access to everything necessary for a comfortable wait for their flight – free Wi-Fi, restrooms, and shower facilities, specifically adapted for individuals with disabilities, as well as a diverse menu of snacks, salads, dishes, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

For passengers traveling with children, there are changing tables and high chairs for the convenient feeding of little ones.

On the second floor of the lounge, there is a branded Mastercard lounge for holders of premium cards issued by banks in Uzbekistan.

The director of the capital airport, Jasur Pulatov, noted that the lounge was created through entirely new construction as part of the ongoing reconstruction efforts.

"As passenger traffic continues to grow each year – in 2024 we served nearly 9 million passengers – there is a need to expand infrastructure, including the addition of new business lounges. Now, in addition to the existing CIP Lounge and Anor lounges at the capital airport, we are pleased to announce the opening of the Anjir business lounge," he commented.

The new business lounge will be managed by VIP Services Group from Azerbaijan, which has over 10 years of experience in providing passenger services at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku and Ganja International Airport. Uzbekistan Airports signed a contract with this company following an open auction on the E-auksion platform.

"We are proud that our first business lounge outside of Azerbaijan has opened in our fraternal country – Uzbekistan. Anjir Business Lounge is an essential part of our global expansion strategy. We have endeavored to blend the warmth and hospitality of the East with the technologies and ergonomics necessary for the modern traveler," said Sabir Shukurov, the general director of VIP Services Group.

Access to the business lounge is available for first and business class passengers of Turkish Airlines and Air Astana, as well as holders of Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass, Every Lounge cards, and members of loyalty programs.
