On December 12, temporary power outages are planned in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent, as reported by "Tashgorenergo."

Power supply interruptions are expected from 12:00 to 14:00 during the repair of the network infrastructure in the neighborhoods of "Bakhor," "Bogimaydon," "Navnihol," "Sayram," "Shakhriobod," "Shukur Burkhanov," and "Yalangach."

Additionally, planned work was carried out at the "Vodil" substation overnight. As a result, approximately 3,750 subscribers in the Mirzo-Ulugbek and Yashnabad districts were disconnected from the network.

Since the summer of 2023, a large-scale modernization of the power grid has been ongoing in the capital. In June, the most extensive rolling blackouts of the season were observed; for instance, on June 8, eight districts lost electricity.

Last August, Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the transition of the energy sector management to an emergency operating mode. The President urged officials to take urgent action to prepare the energy system for the autumn-winter period.

At a meeting in October 2023, the head of state instructed to develop a program for the modernization of power lines and transformers by the end of 2026. By that time, it is planned to reduce the share of electricity losses in the networks by 1.5 times.

The President reiterated the task of eliminating emergency power outages by June of this year. An additional 14 trillion sums will be allocated for the preparation of the energy sector for the upcoming autumn-winter period.

Earlier, Spot reported that violations in the use of electricity amounting to over $2 million were discovered at a plant in Tashkent.
