To set goals for the upcoming year, working groups will be dispatched to all districts of the Namangan region. They will assess the proposals from entrepreneurs, after which specific plans will be developed.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that opportunities have already been identified for the implementation of 182 new projects totaling 527 million dollars. Among these are plans to launch a leather and footwear enterprise, open a plant for processing fluorite, cultivate medicinal plants, produce confectionery, and establish a tourist center.
In the Pap district, on lands with access to groundwater, it is proposed to grow rice, grains, medicinal, and fodder crops, while around the irrigation wells in the Naryn district, fish farming is suggested. In Chorkesar, Zarkent, and Isparan, with improved irrigation and land allocation for livestock breeders, there will be an opportunity to raise 100,000 head of cattle and goats.
Through cooperation with beekeeping farms, it is possible to organize beekeeping in households, providing additional income for the population.
At the meeting, the governor of the Namangan region presented plans for realizing such opportunities. Specifically, by 2025, it is planned to attract 4.2 billion dollars in investments to the Namangan region, create 34,000 jobs, and ensure exports worth one billion dollars.
It is expected that by the end of the year, the poverty rate in the region will decrease to 8.5%. By 2025, this figure is projected to drop to 5.3%, lifting 78,000 people out of poverty. There are also plans to employ around 100,000 individuals who have returned from labor migration abroad within the country.
The head of state has issued instructions to support entrepreneurs' initiatives, create favorable conditions for their projects, and include necessary funds for the development of industrial infrastructure in investment programs.
