In October, a total of 102.3 thousand vehicles were sold, reflecting a 7% decrease compared to the previous month. Year-over-year, the decline is more pronounced, exceeding 44%.
In the passenger car segment, the most significant drop in sales by region was observed in Tashkent, with an 18.4% decrease, followed by Fergana at 17%, and Andijan regions at 14.4%. Compared to the previous month, sales fell by 6%, while on a yearly basis, the decline reached 43.3%.
In the primary market for passenger cars, sales decreased by 15% compared to the previous month, and year-over-year activity dropped by 21.8%.
A decline in sales is also noted in the market for new domestically produced vehicles. In October, sales decreased by 20%, and on a yearly basis, the decline was 22%.
A surge in sales was recorded for foreign passenger cars: in October, sales increased by 35%. However, compared to October of last year, sales fell by 20%.
The secondary market for passenger cars in October is characterized by a slowdown in activity and a more pronounced year-over-year decrease in sales volumes. 23 fewer vehicles were sold compared to the previous month, while compared to the same period last year, sales halved.
A record increase in activity continues in the electric vehicle segment, with 5.1 thousand units sold. Compared to September, the volume of sold cars grew by 20%. Over the year, sales surged by 87.5%.
The largest increase in electric vehicle sales was recorded in Namangan and Fergana regions, as well as in Tashkent.
