Last year, foreign IT giants paid nearly 116 billion soums in taxes in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, in 2024, 63 foreign companies providing electronic services in Uzbekistan contributed 115.8 billion sums in taxes to the national budget. This figure represents a 1.5-fold increase compared to 2023, reports a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.

According to the Tax Committee, the majority of revenue—99.9% of the total amount—was generated by the 10 largest companies:

  • Meta – 41.7 billion sums,

  • Google – 29 billion sums,

  • Apple – 27.3 billion sums,

  • Amazon – 4.1 billion sums,

  • Booking.com – 3.6 billion sums,

  • Netflix – 1.4 billion sums,

  • Zoom – 1.4 billion sums,

  • Acca – 1.2 billion sums,

  • Xsolla – 966.7 million sums,

  • TikTok – 903 million sums.

It is noteworthy that the top two companies—Meta and Google—account for two-thirds of the services rendered and taxes paid.

Additionally, in 2023, foreign technology companies contributed nearly 70 billion sums in taxes to the budget, which is a 56.2% increase compared to 2022.
