Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, by the end of 2024, Uzbekistan imported 74,700 passenger cars, including electric vehicles, with a total value of $1.28 billion, as reported by a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

According to the Statistics Agency, China remains the primary supplier of cars to Uzbekistan, accounting for 81.6% of the total import volume. Over 61,000 vehicles were imported from this country, including nearly all electric cars (22,100 units over 11 months).

South Korea ranks second in supply, with just under 12,000 vehicles. This is followed by the USA (639 vehicles), India (577), Japan (168), and other countries, from which 374 cars were imported.

It is noteworthy that, according to the Customs Committee, the volume of car imports in 2024 has decreased compared to 2023. In monetary terms, the decline was 33.2%, while in quantity, it was 7%.

As a reminder, over 400,000 cars were sold in Uzbekistan in 2024. The leader among suppliers is UzAuto Motors.
