The Competition Committee has announced an investigation into Avesta Komfort Eko-Gaz due to an illegally installed advertising structure.

The supervisory authority in the Syrdarya region discovered a stand near a gas filling compressor station owned by the company. It was installed close to the road without the necessary object passport.

The gas station owner failed to rectify the violations despite a warning from the Committee. As a result, a special commission of the agency initiated a case regarding violations of the law "On Advertising" and the regulations for installing advertising structures.

Avesta Komfort Eko-Gaz has been fined. The Committee has also issued a directive for the company to rectify the shortcomings and to prevent them in the future.

The following day, November 11, reports of the removal of illegal advertising structures were noted in at least half of the districts of the capital. In the Mirabad district alone, over 100 banners and boards were dismantled.

The Tashkent city administration acknowledged criticism of "chaotic and bright advertising" on social media. Owners of advertising structures were accused of creating "visual clutter" and "information noise," which "make the city less comfortable to be in."

“We urge all owners of advertising structures to not waste time and legalize their advertising by aligning it with the requirements of the unified design code,” stated the city administration.

The office of the business ombudsman supported the dismantling of advertising objects installed in violation of legislative requirements. Meanwhile, owners of legal objects that are being demolished due to violations were advised to contact by phone at 1100.

Previously, Spot reported that three regional television channels received directives from the Competition Committee for exceeding advertising norms.
