Design Code
The design code was developed by the Department of Digital Development and approved by the city council on October 25. According to the city administration, it was coordinated with the Competition Committee and the National Association of the Advertising Industry.
The document outlines the requirements for the appearance, physical parameters, and placement of advertising structures, as well as for advertising on transport. It also specifies advertising-free zones across all districts of Tashkent and their locations on the map.
The installation of advertising structures is prohibited:
- on cultural heritage sites;
- on building facades along historical streets and squares if they obstruct their appearance;
- in front of buildings if the structure blocks their windows or doors;
- on sidewalks and in areas where the object may hinder street cleaning;
- in access routes for fire trucks and in zones near infrastructure elements;
- on traffic light structures or road signs;
- on lighting fixtures;
- in the form of banners.
The installation of advertising signs resembling road signs, advertising stands, and banners on sidewalks is also prohibited in Tashkent. Additionally, sound and projection advertising is banned in the city.
