Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law on February 13 aimed at improving the regulation of labor relations. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice's legal information channel.
Amendments are being made to the Labor Code that clarify the procedure for calculating average wages and the duration of unpaid leave. Additionally, provisions for the registration of electronic employment contracts through the Unified National Labor System are being established.
The dismissal of employees due to pregnancy or the presence of children is prohibited.
Changes will also be made to the law "On Education." This concerns clarifying the types of educational organizations that can provide training for employees in evening or correspondence formats.
Moreover, employers will receive passport details and information from employment records electronically upon hiring, thanks to the integration of government systems. In other words, job applicants will not be required to present a passport, ID card, or employment record book.
Another amendment pertains to civil servants. Labor relations with them, in areas not covered by the law "On State Civil Service," will be regulated by labor legislation.
At the end of December, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for concluding electronic employment contracts. Now, the document will be drafted directly in the ENST, after which both the employer and employee must certify it with their electronic digital signatures.
Previously, Spot reported that grants from social funds are planned to be allocated for the employment of needy citizens.
