The domestic company VAN Universal Motors (VUM) has unveiled the FAW Tiger V medium-duty trucks, which are now being manufactured in Uzbekistan. These compact and reliable trucks come with a wide range of functionalities, making them ideal for:

  • retail;
  • distributors;
  • logistics companies;
  • small and medium-sized enterprises;

  • agricultural enterprises;
  • the construction sector.

The first models of the FAW Tiger V were showcased at the international exhibition of cargo and commercial vehicles, Komtrans Tashkent 2024, held alongside Automechanika Tashkent at the Central Asian Expo (CAEx) from October 23 to 25.

FAW Tiger V 4x2 Cargo Vans

The VUM factory in the Andijan region has commenced the production of all-metal, general cargo, and refrigerated vans with a total weight of 11 tons. Soon, flatbed and tarpaulin vans will also be available for sale.

FAW Tiger V cargo vans combine advanced technology and high reliability, making them an optimal choice for urban and highway freight transport due to:

  • a Yuchai engine with a displacement of 4.2 liters, delivering 130 hp, paired with a 6-speed transmission for high performance and low fuel consumption;
  • a payload capacity of 7 tons thanks to a reinforced frame, springs, and axles;
  • a body volume of 21 cubic meters with optimal dimensions of 4900x2100x2100 mm for comfortable maneuvering in urban environments;
  • modern safety systems, including an anti-lock braking system (ABS);
  • a spacious and comfortable cabin featuring contemporary solutions for driver convenience, including a sleeping area, air conditioning, power windows, a remote control, and a multifunctional steering wheel.

As part of the "First Buyers" promotion, VUM offers cargo vans at the following prices with savings of up to 20 million sums until December 15:

  • all-metal van 21 cubic meters – 417.2 million sums including VAT;
  • general cargo van 21 cubic meters – 421.12 million sums including VAT;
  • refrigerator (-5 degrees) 21 cubic meters – 520.8 million sums including VAT;
  • refrigerator (-20 degrees) 21 cubic meters – 542.08 million sums including VAT.

FAW Tiger V 4x2 Construction, Municipal, and Special Equipment

In addition to various types of cargo vans, VUM has started producing FAW Tiger V 4x2 dump trucks with a total weight of 12 tons featuring a new type of body with a volume of 6 cubic meters.

FAW Tiger V dump trucks are an excellent solution for construction and agricultural tasks that require robust and high-performance machinery. This compact and reliable truck is designed to operate under any conditions, ensuring efficiency and economy, thanks to:

  • a durable suspension well-suited for challenging road conditions;
  • a reliable Yuchai engine with a power output of 160 hp and an 8-speed manual transmission;
  • a spacious and comfortable cabin equipped with a sleeping area, air conditioning, and a standard audio system;
  • a large aluminum fuel tank with special protective mounts.

FAW Tiger V dump trucks are available at a special price of 495.04 million sums including VAT.

The company also announced the upcoming availability of various special equipment, including tank trucks for transporting water and fuel, crane manipulators, aerial work platforms, tow trucks, garbage trucks, and other machinery based on FAW Tiger V chassis with total weights of 11 and 12 tons.

In an interview with VUM, the company's CEO Rovshan Khasanov discussed the current performance of the company and its future plans in Uzbekistan.

“Fleet owners will highly appreciate the capabilities of the new FAW Tiger V vehicles in terms of their fuel efficiency, reliability, and driver comfort. I would like to specifically highlight the reliability of the vehicles, which come with a warranty of 36 months or 100,000 kilometers. Currently, there are dealer-service centers in the central regions of Uzbekistan where, in addition to purchasing vehicles, qualified service support can be obtained in the shortest possible time,” shared Rovshan Khasanov.

Rovshan Khasanov also mentioned that VUM, in collaboration with FAW Corporation, is continuously working on expanding the range of FAW trucks, and plans to introduce a series of new products in early 2025 that should pleasantly surprise entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan.
