В Узбекистане подписан меморандум о сотрудничестве в области безалкогольных тонизирующих напитков.

A memorandum of cooperation in the field of non-alcoholic energy drinks has been signed in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, the Central Asia Retail Week 2024 hosted a session focused on the regulation of the production and sale of non-alcoholic energy drinks during the International Forum on E-commerce and Retail. As a result of this discussion, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT Turon), which represents the national digital labeling system Asl Belgisi, and the Energy Drinks Association.

The signatories were the heads of both organizations – Anatoly Bachikalov and Mirpayoz Mirsaatov.

"The signing of the memorandum is a step towards creating a transparent and fair market. The digital labeling system provides access to reliable information about every stage of production and logistics. Our collaboration with the Energy Drinks Association aims to enhance transparency in the production and sales processes, thereby protecting consumer rights," noted Anatoly Bachikalov, General Director of CRPT Turon.

The special session titled "Production and Sale of Non-Alcoholic Energy Drinks in the Central Asian Market" was a significant event at Central Asia Retail Week 2024. The forum, taking place in Tashkent from October 16 to 17, is supported by the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan and serves as a platform for sharing experiences and best practices.

The session brought together experts from Uzbekistan's government agencies: the Agency for Technical Regulation, the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing, the Committee for Competition Development, and the Tax Committee. Representatives from Kazakhstan and Russia were also invited.

Participants discussed safety, sanitary and epidemiological requirements, and standards in place in Central Asian countries and Russia, while major retailers talked about the market situation regarding popular non-alcoholic beverages.

Special attention was given to the digital labeling system and the next steps for its full implementation for beverages and water. Representatives from the Tax Committee explained why it is particularly important to implement technological innovations now, as the market becomes saturated. The discussion focused on products that are in high demand among the population and require special control at all stages – from production to logistics. Regulatory bodies expressed their readiness to collaborate with businesses and the Energy Drinks Association to develop regulatory documents in this area.
