According to a presidential decree dated January 20, a new technological university called Cyber University is being established in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Technologies.

The university will train specialists in the following fields:

  • information and cybersecurity, information protection;
  • digital technologies;
  • digital economy;
  • robotics;
  • development of automated information-analytical systems based on artificial intelligence etc.

Additionally, the university will offer retraining and advanced training for specialists in the digital sector. The educational process will be organized based on leading international practices and modern teaching technologies.

Cyber University aims to create an "open information and educational environment." The new institution will develop educational and methodological materials for the relevant educational fields and specialties, as well as conduct fundamental, scientific, and applied research.

It is planned to establish partnerships between Cyber University and other universities, including those abroad. Additionally, "producers and consumers" of solutions in the field of digital technologies will be involved as partners.
