Yandex Uzbekistan is acquiring a portion of the assets of the local delivery service Express24. This information was reported by "Gazeta.uz," citing the company.

“The companies have agreed to create a unified technological platform for food delivery in Uzbekistan, combining the advantages of Yandex Go and Express24 services. To this end, Yandex will purchase part of Express24's assets, and the deal will be finalized in the near future,” the company stated, without disclosing the transaction amount.

The Express24 app will continue to operate for now. After the deal is completed, the Eats services in Yandex Go and Express24 will transition to a single technological platform.

Yandex Uzbekistan anticipates that as a result of the merger, there will be an increase in order density and the number of deliveries for couriers. Additionally, partner restaurants of Express24 will be able to expand their delivery areas and utilize promotional tools from the new platform.

Earlier, Spot reported that Uzum Market and Yandex Uzbekistan are calling for a postponement of the tightening of regulations on e-commerce.
