Over the past year, Uzbekistan has seen a significant increase in the issuance of microloans and microcredits.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, by the end of 2024, the volume of microloans and microcredits issued in the national currency saw a significant increase. Data from the Central Bank indicates that the total amount of microloans issued reached 45.83 trillion sums, marking a 59.44% rise compared to 2023, reports a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.

The highest volume of loans was recorded in December of last year, when the amount disbursed exceeded 5.1 trillion sums, setting a new record.

Microcrediting also showed significant growth – by 52.91%, increasing from 11.37 to 17.4 trillion sums. The most active months for microcredit issuance were June and October, during which citizens received over 1.8 trillion sums.

It is noted that in the fourth quarter of 2024, the growth rate of microloan issuance accelerated by 75.74% compared to the same period in 2023. At the same time, the increase in microcredits slowed down, amounting to 30.55%.

Remember, it was previously reported that in 2024 – 2025, 10 trillion sums will be allocated for microcredits aimed at self-employment and small and medium-sized enterprises.
