The private airline Fly Khiva has launched passenger flights within Uzbekistan, according to data from the Flightradar24 portal.
On December 6 at 13:45, a Boeing 757−300 took off from Tashkent and landed at Urgench International Airport at 14:47. Thus, the flight lasted just over one hour.
On Monday, the airline announced the arrival of its first Boeing 757−300, which was leased wet from the airline Icelandair. Another passenger Boeing 757−300 is expected to arrive in the future. Both aircraft are over 22 years old.
Fly Khiva plans to start flights from Tashkent to five cities in Uzbekistan: Urgench, Nukus, Termez, Fergana, and Namangan.
Among the international destinations being considered are Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Israel, Greece, India, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, and Latvia. Initially, Fly Khiva intends to position itself as a charter carrier.
The aircraft feature a class division with business (22 seats) and economy (203 seats) sections. The allowance for free baggage is 23 kg, while carry-on luggage is limited to 10 kg. Additionally, passengers traveling from Saudi Arabia will be permitted to bring an extra 5 kg.
Fly Khiva was established in 2021 in Khiva to develop civil, cargo, and business aviation. In April 2022, it launched flights on the Baku – Tashkent route in collaboration with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).
In January, the airline received its first aircraft. A cargo Boeing 767, leased from Icelandair, operates flights to Dubai, Istanbul, Delhi, and Hong Kong.
