Since the beginning of the year, the Trade Development Company has provided financial assistance to exporters amounting to 311.4 billion soums. This was reported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Compared to the same period in 2023, the amount of support has decreased by 98 billion soums or 24%. A total of 798 exporting enterprises received assistance, down from 1340 firms last year.
Additionally, the KRT allocated $241.2 million (-8%) to commercial banks for pre-export financing of 248 companies. Last year, the amount of credit resources provided by the Export Support Fund was $262.3 million, with loans granted to 304 companies.
At the same time, there has been an increase in the efficiency of the funds allocated for export support. The companies that received support from the KRT exported products and services worth a total of $1.95 billion, which is 17.5% more than last year.
If in 2023, each dollar spent by the KRT generated $5.6 in export revenue, since the beginning of this year, the figure has risen to $7.4, marking a 32% increase.
The Trade Development Company, managed by the CCI, was established in accordance with the presidential decree from March. One of its main objectives is to enhance the effectiveness of financial assistance provided to exporters.
To achieve this, the task was set to prioritize subsidies for companies entering new markets and producing high value-added products. The KRT was also tasked with promoting national goods and brands under the Made in Uzbekistan program.
