The Ministry of Justice has announced the launch of the LexAI platform—a chatbot powered by artificial intelligence designed to assist in finding answers to legal questions. The platform was presented on December 21.

The chatbot operates using data from the National Legislation Database Lex.uz, which contains over 48 thousand documents, including 34 thousand active regulatory acts.

LexAI is capable of providing links to legal articles, analyzing questions, and suggesting clarifications.

Justice Minister Akbar Tashkulov noted that the creation of this product is a "historical event".

During the presentation, Justice Minister Akbar Tashkulov asked the bot a question: "It is currently 18:15, and we are still at work. Is our action legal?" The chatbot responded by referencing Article 139 of the Labor Code and suggested considering the next question: What compensation is provided for overtime work?

Among LexAI's features:

  • answers to legal questions 24/7;
  • handling voice queries;
  • storing query history;
  • regular database updates;

At this stage, the chatbot supports a "question-answer" function. The AI is trained to analyze queries and provide links to relevant articles of legislation, as well as propose clarifying questions. The built-in "Google Translate" allows for translation of queries and responses into any language, although these translations are not official.

In the future, a separate constructor for automated development of contract templates, applications, and other documents will be implemented on the platform.

Currently, the chatbot is only available for a select group of specialists.

At this stage, it will be tested by experts and holders of special vouchers, who will be able to use the platform for free until January 1. This is due to the fact that each request in the system will incur a fee, and options for an affordable subscription for users are currently being explored.

Full access for the general public is planned after the verification process is completed. You can learn more about LexAI by following the link.
