The Cabinet of Ministers approved new customs duty rates for exported and imported goods on January 31. The resolution has been published on Lex.uz.
The amendments aim to align customs payments with the rules of the World Trade Organization. The amount of payments is determined based on estimated expenses for the clearance of goods and processing of declarations.
Specific payment rates for placing goods under export and re-export customs regimes are abolished. General rates for the clearance of goods will apply to them, which have also been revised.
Payment amounts are reduced starting from a customs value of goods from $60,000. Details are provided in the table below.

A special rate for placing goods under transit, processing on customs territory, and processing outside the customs territory will be 25% BRV (93,750 sums) for the entire declaration. Currently, 50% BRV is charged for the first page and 25% for each subsequent one.
A separate collection rate for international courier shipments will also be introduced. It will equal 2% BRV (7,500 sums) per kilogram.
The fee for processing customs declarations during non-working hours, weekends, and holidays is reduced by eight times. After the amendments come into effect, it will amount to 25% BRV.
Simultaneously, fines will be introduced for exceeding the declared time for exporting goods imported into Uzbekistan in transit. The amount for road and air transport will be 1 BRV per day. For transit by rail, the fee will be 10% BRV (37,500 sums) until 2028, after which it will be adjusted to the general rate.
The resolution will come into effect in May 2025. The new rates for general customs duties will be applied from January 1, 2026.
