The Malaysian company Five Petroleum plans to establish a network of gas stations in Uzbekistan, as reported by the press service of "Uzbekneftegaz."

The chairman of "Uzbekneftegaz," Bakhodir Sidikov, held talks with the CEO of Five Petroleum regarding the creation of a gas station network under the Malaysian brand. During the meeting, they discussed the implementation of modern technologies and international standards to enhance the quality of products and services.

The parties also explored the possibility of creating transportation and logistics infrastructure for Five Petroleum in various regions of the country.

Additionally, "Uzbekneftegaz" and Five Petroleum agreed to deepen their partnership and develop initiatives that hold strategic importance for the republic's fuel and energy sector.

On July 1, 2024, the Uzbek ambassador to Malaysia met with the founder and CEO of Five Petroleum Malaysia, King Lim Chin Fui. The sides discussed investment opportunities in the republic and the implementation of projects in the Samarkand region.

The Malaysian company expressed its readiness to establish cooperation with Uzbek enterprises for the production of non-alcoholic beverages and the supply of aluminum containers for them. A preliminary agreement was also reached to implement a project to create a gas station network and equip them with modern technology in Tashkent, and in the future, in other regions.

Earlier, Spot reported that the Chinese company Jingbian Xinrong would help increase hydrocarbon production on the Ustyurt Plateau.

FIVE Petroleum Malaysia was founded in 2020. Currently, the company operates more than 110 gas stations across Malaysia. It also owns 60% of BHPetrol, which has over 400 filling stations.
