The Ministry of Economy and Finance commented on social media reports regarding salary and pension increases.
According to these reports, it is allegedly planned to raise the minimum wage (MW) and pensions twice this year—on March 1 and August 1. Both increases are said to be 10%. The Ministry of Economy and Finance called such reports "inaccurate."
"Any official information regarding salaries and benefits is published through the official channels of government bodies," emphasized the ministry's press service. Users are urged to verify reports through trusted sources.
The previous increase in the MW and the base amount for pension calculations occurred in September 2024. Currently, the MW is 1.115 million sums, the basic pension is 428,000 sums, and the old-age pension is 745,000 sums.
At the end of September, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the composition of a working group led by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Jamshid Kuchkarov, which is tasked with preparing proposals for pension reform. The concept draft is expected to be developed by March 1.
Earlier, Spot reported on the increase in minimum consumer expenditures to 669,000 sums.
