A new high-speed electric train will start operating on the Tashkent – Khojikent railway line. This was announced by the press service of "Uzbekistan Railways".
According to the attached photo, the train in question is the EP3D model produced by the Russian company "Transmashholding". The Telegram channel "Kodni" reported on the test runs of this model in Uzbekistan on November 20.
The train will operate three round trips per day starting from December 3. The schedule is provided in the table below.

The ticket price will be 20,000 sums for adults and 11,500 sums for children.
"Uzbekistan Railways" noted that there are plans to purchase 10 modern trains in the future. Regular electric trains will continue to operate according to the previously approved schedule.
The head of "Uzbekistan Railways," Zufar Narzullayev, discussed the arrival of the new electric train from Russia on the "Uzbekistan 24" television channel last week. It will be utilized for suburban routes from Tashkent.
Suburban Trains
In May 2021, "Uzbekistan Railways" announced plans to purchase 4 high-speed electric trains for the Tashkent – Khojikent route. The state company intended to explore the technical specifications and prices of trains in China, South Korea, Belarus, and Russia.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the procurement of 10 new electric trains during a speech to residents of the Tashkent region ahead of the early elections in 2023. These trains will be used on routes from Tashkent to Bekabad, Khojikent, and Angren.
In October of the same year, the Czech group of companies Škoda signed a contract with the government of Uzbekistan to supply 30 electric trains. The execution of the €320 million contract was planned to begin in the current year.
