On December 6, power outages are scheduled in certain areas of Tashkent, as reported by "Tashgorelectrosupply".

From 8 AM to 1 PM, there may be interruptions in electricity supply in the neighborhoods of "Geologlar", "Geofizika", and "Pastkiyuz" in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district. This is necessary to prevent accidents in the power grid and to carry out infrastructure repairs.

Additionally, the modernization of the "Teplichnaya" substation continues, involving the replacement of outdated equipment with modern alternatives. As a result, brief outages may occur at the following addresses until December 11:

  • In the Mirabad district – neighborhoods "Bayot", "Baratkhoja", "Bilimdon", "Ziyonur", "Kuylik-ota", "Parvona", "Talariq", "Faizobod", "Chinor", "Yuksalish", "Yangi Kuylik";
  • In the Sergeli district – neighborhoods "Asrobod", "Ziyolilar", "Izzatli", "Kengmakon", "Kuhnakumaryk", "Kushkurgan", "Madaniyat", "Nomdanak", "Sadokat", "Sultonobod", "Khalqobod", "Khonobod", "Khonobodtepa", "Khontapa", "Shukrona", "Eski Jaloyir", "Eshonbulok".

Last August, Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the transition of the energy sector's leadership to an emergency working mode. The President urged officials to take immediate action to prepare the energy system for the autumn-winter period.

At a meeting in October 2023, the head of state instructed the development of a program for the modernization of power lines and transformers by the end of 2026. By that time, it is planned to reduce the share of electricity losses in the networks by 1.5 times.

The President reiterated the goal of eliminating emergency power outages by June of this year. An additional 14 trillion sums will be allocated for the preparation of the energy sector for the upcoming autumn-winter period.

Previously, Spot reported that 264 cases of wasteful electricity consumption were identified in Tashkent over two days.
