Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region to review the implementation of new tourism projects. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

Construction has begun on the tourist complex "Charvak Gates" along the banks of the Chirchik River. The complex will be able to accommodate over 5,000 visitors daily and will create 2,500 jobs.

A total area of 25 hectares will feature 16 multi-story buildings, three hotels, supermarkets, a water park, a musical fountain, and a glass bridge.

Along the Ugam River, previously a rocky area, the construction of a project worth over 1 trillion sums has commenced. The Ugam River complex will cover an area of 14 hectares, featuring 17 apartment buildings of 5, 6, and 7 floors with 870 apartments, 16 cottages, three restaurants, and over 20 commercial and service facilities.

Additionally, children's play areas, an indoor swimming pool, sports grounds, an amphitheater, walking paths in the mountains and along the coast, as well as parking will be organized.

The first phase of the Ugam River tourist complex has already been put up for sale via E-auksion. Buyers can choose from 51 lots. The new complex is expected to host up to 200,000 tourists annually, significantly enhancing the tourism potential of the Bostanlyk district.

The first phase of construction is planned to be completed by early 2025, with the commissioning of the apartment buildings.

There are plans to plant 20,000 trees on the territory, recycle 1,000 cubic meters of river water daily, and install a heating and cooling system with a capacity of 2 megawatts.

The president instructed responsible officials to actively promote the resort and attract more tourists. The importance of preserving the local ecosystem and traditional crafts, such as beekeeping and lemon farming, which are actively developing in the region, was emphasized.

The number of tourists has increased twelvefold over the past five years. If in 2019 the region was visited by 850,000 people, in the first 11 months of this year, the tourist flow exceeded 12 million.

Over the last five years, more than 2 trillion sums have been invested in the Bostanlyk district, allowing the construction of 59 large tourist facilities. The number of accommodation places has grown from 2,200 to over 13,000. The main highway has been reconstructed, new roads have been built, and sanatoriums and children's camps have been renovated, along with the creation of modern ski and wellness complexes.
