Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved measures on February 3 for reorganizing the system of assistance for children with disabilities. This was reported by the legal information channel of the Ministry of Justice.
It is planned to establish day care services for children with disabilities based on public-private partnerships. Starting from March 1, these services will be launched in pilot mode in Tashkent, Tashkent region, Andijan, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya regions, as well as in Karakalpakstan, with a nationwide rollout expected by October 1.
A subsidy will be allocated for each day of using the day care services. For a child aged 3 to 7 years, it will amount to 25% BRV (93,750 sums), and for children aged 7 to 18 years, it will be 27% BRV (101,250 sums).
For children with disabilities in Tashkent, Nukus, and regional centers, a multiplier 1.1 will be applied to the subsidy amount. Additionally, the payment will be increased by 30% for children from low-income families.
The Unified National Social Protection System has been tasked with launching the module "Management of Day Care Services." A special mobile application will be available for individuals receiving the corresponding services.
By September 1, a new system called "Children's Health" is planned to be launched. This system will facilitate early diagnosis of developmental issues in children, provide comprehensive social and medical assistance, prevent disabilities, and ensure the socialization of children.
Entrepreneurs who establish day care services by July 2027 will receive preferential loans at the Central Bank's base rate. The funds can be used to purchase furniture and equipment for children with disabilities.
Earlier, Spot reported that the social tax rate for employed individuals with disabilities is planned to be reduced to 1%.
