UzAuto Motors in Asaka is launching production of the Chevrolet Cobalt in the Midnight trim. This was announced by the company's press service.
The new version of the sedan will be produced alongside other variants. Initially, the trim will receive updates to the exterior, including darker tones for the lighting and wheel rims, with further changes planned for the interior.
The price of the Cobalt in the GX Midnight AT version will be 155,231,000 soums, which is 7.3 million soums more expensive than the existing options. The company promised to provide additional information regarding the start date of sales.
According to the company, other sedan variants will continue to be produced and sold at current prices. The GX-Optima AT Plus is currently priced at 146,455,000 soums, while the GX-Style AT Plus costs 147,916,000 soums.
The automaker introduced the new Cobalt trim in mid-October. According to the company, its concept was developed based on data collected by marketers studying consumer preferences in both domestic and international markets.
In the first nine months of the year, 117,700 Cobalt vehicles were produced, which is 1.5 times more than the same period last year. According to KPMG, in 2023, more than half of the cars purchased in Uzbekistan were "people's" models, including the Cobalt and Damas.
Previously, Spot reported that UzAuto Motors would allocate nearly 168 billion soums for dividend payments.
