The press service of UzAuto Motors announced the completion of a new contract for the Chevrolet Cobalt, which was announced the day before.
In just 6 hours, residents of Uzbekistan registered 50,017 contracts for the supply of vehicles. Of these, 9,255 were for the GX-Style AT Plus configuration, while the remaining 40,762 were for the GX-Midnight AT introduced in October.
Individuals, after authorization through OneID, signed 49,858 contracts for the supply of vehicles. Legal entities ordered an additional 159 cars.
The company urged citizens to avoid "purchasing" contracts from third parties through advertisement websites and other external services. It is emphasized in the statement that buyers or dealers cannot alter client details in contracts on the UzAvtoSavdo platform.
In November, UzAuto Motors conducted the largest contracting round of the previous year, accepting orders for 55,494 vehicles. Later, there were two rounds of reaccepting orders—one for 22 thousand and another for 12.6 thousand vehicles.
Since the end of 2022, UzAuto Motors has suspended open sales of mass segment models—Cobalt, Lacetti, Damas, and Labo. Since then, the company has repeatedly opened and closed contracting.
At the end of December 2023, the company halted sales of Cobalt, Damas, and Labo cars, contracting 171 thousand vehicles in just three days—this was the entire production volume for 2024. At that time, the company announced the creation of a database for contracts listed for resale.
On March 29, UzAuto Motors offered 18 thousand Labo for re-contracting, which were sold out in 55 minutes. In April, the company proposed 24 thousand Damas, with orders also coming in under an hour, and on May 8, 4,500 Lacetti were contracted again in just 25 minutes.
The next round of contracting took place in June, where the registration of orders for a batch of 25 thousand Cobalt took more than nine hours. On July 5, a little over 14 thousand sedans were re-contracted.
Earlier, Spot reported that a "beautiful" license plate was sold in Uzbekistan for a record $75 thousand.
