Starting January 1, 2025, all diplomatic and consular missions of Thailand abroad will implement the electronic visa (e-Visa) service, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs information agency "Dunyo".
Citizens wishing to obtain a Thai visa can now apply online through the official Thai E-Visa platform.
A personal visit to consulates is no longer required — all documents and the original passport must be submitted electronically.
After the application is approved, the applicant will receive a confirmation via email. This document must be printed and presented to airline staff during boarding and to immigration authorities upon entering Thailand.
Since July 2024, citizens of Uzbekistan have been granted visa-free entry to Thailand for stays of up to 60 days. However, if a longer stay is required, the electronic visa system allows for a visa of up to 90 days for tourism, business, family, and other purposes.
Previously, Spot reported that Uzbekistan has risen two positions in the world passport power ranking.
