On November 18, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on measures for socio-economic development, improving the investment climate, and the entrepreneurial environment in the Andijan region, as reported by the president's press service.

During the studies conducted in the districts, a number of "unrealized opportunities" were identified. For instance, Chinese investors launched a project for growing peppers using drip irrigation and processing them on 600 hectares in the Altynkul and Jalakuduk districts. According to estimates, this will allow for the export of products worth $15,000 per hectare.

In the Pakhtabad district, a partnership with a company from the UAE has been established for growing cherries and berries on 470 hectares. The entrepreneur has requested the government to provide infrastructure to ensure timely fulfillment of investment commitments.

During the meeting, it was noted that expanding the localization of production for models such as Onix, Tracker, and Kia Sonet will increase the capacity and revenues of ADM Electrics (a subsidiary of Roodell), which produces 28 types of wires and multimedia systems for vehicles in Asaka.

The governor of the Andijan region presented a draft resolution that outlines target indicators for the socio-economic development of the region by 2025. Specifically, tasks were set for attracting investments totaling $3 billion, implementing 334 projects, ensuring employment for 305,000 people, and achieving exports worth $1 billion.

Additionally, the category of a total of 1.8 thousand hectares of land will be changed in the region, including unused agricultural lands and hilly areas. Production and service complexes, as well as residential buildings, are planned to be constructed on these lands.

The head of state approved the proposals and provided additional instructions for the effective use of new opportunities, ensuring projects with infrastructure, and increasing employment and incomes of the population.
