On December 21, a grand event took place to celebrate the opening of the 15th anniversary restaurant of the international pizza chain Papa Johns. The new branch, located on the first floor of Block A, marks the first dining establishment within the elite residential complex Nest One. The high-profile opening immediately caught the attention of the residents, business circles, and the general public: partners and colleagues from the hospitality industry attended the event.
The first Papa Johns branch opened in Tashkent in December 2023 and quickly became a favorite among visitors. With a wide variety of pizzas, unique appetizers, signature dishes, and halal ingredients, it attracted both traditional pizza lovers and those eager to try something new. It’s no surprise that within just a year, the chain achieved impressive results: 15 Papa Johns restaurants have already opened in Tashkent, and by the end of the year, this number will reach 16. The branches of this international chain are present in major and popular shopping centers in Tashkent:
Samarqand Darvoza, Tashkent City Mall, Riviera Mall, Seoul Mun, Compass Mall, Alfraganus Mall, Anhor Park Mall.
Over the past year, Papa Johns has already gathered some "tasty" statistics. According to the cash register system, more than 300,000 pizzas have been sold since the brand entered the market. The most popular items on the receipts were the "Pepperoni" and "Super Papa" pizzas. The share of deliveries and offline orders in restaurants was 25% and 75%, respectively.
Papa Johns has become one of the top three largest international pizza chains to open in Uzbekistan. With the arrival of the brand, the market capacity has significantly increased: there are now many more quality pizzerias, and the population is developing a culture of pizza consumption that was previously unfamiliar to them. The principle of "Better Ingredients. Better Pizza" serves as the brand's DNA, creating a memorable image of the company and making the brand unique and recognizable through a balance of:
- fresh, non-frozen dough made from an original recipe with six ingredients;
- mozzarella cheese;
- signature tomato sauce made from ripe tomatoes that are canned on the same day they are harvested;
- meat without artificial additives.
All brand restaurants and ingredients have international certifications, and all ingredients are also Halal certified. Most of them are imported from around the world. For instance, meat products and poultry are sourced from Turkey, pepperoncini from the Mediterranean, and pizza sauce from Portugal. By gathering flavors and aromas from all over the world, the pizza presents an international bouquet on the tables of Uzbekistan residents.
The opening of the restaurant chain has allowed the brand to create over 350 new jobs in just 12 months and contribute further to the country’s economy. Thanks to the arrival of an international brand with a clear and transparent management and certification system, quality products, and flavors that have become favorites for the people of Tashkent, the presence of pizzerias in the market has significantly increased. Consumers can now choose not only between types of pizza but can also make decisions based on the quality of ingredients or price categories.
The opening of the 15th Papa Johns restaurant in Tashkent is an important step in the development of the brand's extensive network.
