The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, commented on the reasons for the power outages in the country and the measures being taken to address the energy crisis.
The President stated that after the completion of the Kambaratinskaya HPP-1 with a capacity of 1860 MW, the issue of electricity shortage would be fully resolved. Japarov reminded that currently, Kyrgyzstan is forced to import electricity from neighboring countries, but the exporting countries are also experiencing shortages due to a sharp drop in temperature. For this reason, Kyrgyzstan is facing a severe electricity deficit.
It is worth noting that Kyrgyzstan has been experiencing an energy crisis in recent years. The country faces a significant shortage of electricity during the winter months. For this reason, the leadership of the Republic is making efforts to stabilize the situation.
