Recently, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Olimjon Abdullaev, held a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador.

Recently, a meeting took place between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Olimjon Abdullaev, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan, Oleg Malginov. During the discussions, the parties addressed pressing issues related to labor migration between the two countries and outlined paths for further cooperation.

Special attention was given to the tasks of regulating external labor migration and ensuring reliable protection of the rights of Uzbek citizens working in Russia. The Russian side, for its part, reaffirmed its ongoing interest in the organized dispatch of citizens from Uzbekistan to work in the Russian Federation.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to establish a working format for weekly meetings among responsible officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Migration Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Russian Embassy to discuss matters related to the regulation of migration flows.
