Today, November 5, 2024, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Bishkek for a working visit. This visit is timed to coincide with the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Turkic States Organization (TSO) and is taking place at the invitation of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov. The summit will last for two days, on November 5 and 6.
During the planned events, the presidents of the Turkic states will discuss a wide range of issues related to strengthening multilateral cooperation within the TSO. The main focus will be on deepening political dialogue, expanding trade, economic, and investment partnerships, as well as enhancing business contacts between the participating countries.
Additionally, an important item on the agenda is the promotion of cultural and humanitarian interaction. The heads of state plan to exchange views on pressing issues of international and regional significance, which will help develop common approaches to addressing contemporary global challenges.
It is expected that as a result of the summit, a number of joint documents will be signed, aimed at further developing cooperation within the Turkic States Organization. Among them, the Charter of the Turkic World holds particular significance, an initiative for which belongs to Uzbekistan. This document is intended to consolidate the shared values and principles of interaction among Turkic-speaking countries.
