The Deputy Head of the Andijan Region, Avazbek Ergashov, has passed away.

On December 27, 2024, the passing of Avazbek Yakubjonovich Ergashev, the deputy hokim of Andijan region, was reported. This information was provided by the press service of the Agency for the Development of Public Service under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Avazbek Ergashev dedicated a significant portion of his career to public service. For fifteen years, he held the position of hokim of the Kurghantepa district, gaining extensive experience in management and addressing regional issues. His career also included roles as deputy hokim of the Syrdarya region and later the Andijan region. In these positions, Avazbek Yakubjonovich contributed to the development of the regions by working on the implementation of government programs and addressing social challenges.

The Agency for the Development of Public Service under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan expressed official condolences to the family and loved ones of Avazbek Ergashev, highlighting his long-standing and fruitful work for the benefit of the state.

Earlier this year, Uzbekistan also lost a prominent cultural figure, the People's Artist Shafqat Rahmatullaeva, who was 83 years old.
